Песня New Friend

Трек был записан в 2001 году на Ямайке. Изначально песня имела немного другой текст в куплете. Гвен, опять же, писала о Гевине. Изначальные строчки были такие: «I’ve got a boyfriend / He’s in love with me / But he can’t give up London / So most nights I’m free» / «У меня есть парень, он любит меня, но он не может бросить Лондон, поэтому, ночи на пролет я одна». Окончательный текст имеет ту же тему, но не так очевидно.

В записи трека принял участие ямайский исполнитель Buccaneer.

До последнего песня значилась в трек-листе альбома Rock Steady, но в последний момент ее заменила Start The Fire. В конце песни денхолл сменяется роком, и No Doubt на столько понравилась эта часть песни, что из нее родился еще один трек In My Head.
